Rural Housing Odisha

      The Government of Odisha commits to provide pucca houses to all the houseless and those staying in Kutcha houses in rural area. In this endeavor following Schemes are implemented by Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department.

  1. Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Grameen)
  2. Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana
  3. Pucca Ghar Yojana (Mining)
  4. Nirman Shramik Pucca Ghar Yojana

Sangita Aich

Sangita Aich, 40 year old mentally challenged, unmarried woman of Bilipada Village in Rasulpur Block of Jajpur District resides with her 70 year old widow mother. Her father has expired and she has no brother to look after her. The destitute mother was always worried about where Sangita will reside after her death.

Nalini Behera

Nalini Behera, D/o- Gandharba Behera was residing at Arakhapal Village on her brother’s house. She is a blind unmarried & poor woman. So she was not able to construct a pucca house. But as per GOVT. guidelines she was selected to avail a pucca house under BPGY (SPL) scheme in the financial year

Bhasidei Patra

Miss. BHASIDEI PATRA, d/o Late Magada Patra, a resident of Nilakamberu village in the GP of Nilakamberu under the Block of Korukonda and the district of Malkangiri, aged about 52 is a poor transgender. Her father, who had been suffering from some chronic disease, died at the age of 35 when she was only 18.

Sitaram Sahada

Sitaram Sahada s/o Rama Sahada, aged about 70 years is residing at Debang Village of Muribahal Blocks. He is very poor, staying in a kuchha house and unable to fulfill his basic necessities. Kumari Alli Sahoo

Kumari Alli Sahoo, aged about 45 is residing at Arakhapal Village of Bhuban Blocks an unmarried lady. She has not source of income except the Un-married Pension she gets from Government. Both her parents have died long ago and now she is living with her elder brother who is a farmer.

Sagar Rout

Sagar Rout, aged about 29 year old is a disabled person of Badaraipada Village in Dharmasala Block of Jajpur District. He resides with his 58 years old father and 53 years old mother. His father was a daily laborer and his mother works as a maid. Government of Odisha took it as a challage to bring smile on their faces.
